WHO || Spike, Wynn, Dumage, the baddies [Closed]
WHAT || Spike and Wynn enact a daring and stupid plan to pull Dumage out of danger
WHERE || NYC
WHEN || 2016, directly after this
HOW || Actionspam
[ As promised, Wynn meets Spike at the airport, to take him on a private plane back to New York where he just came from. He isn't particularly chatty on the way, although when they've landed, he turns back to regard him. ]
I'll ask one more time if you're certain of this, Sir Spike. It is your decision, but I will trust your word.

[He squeezes her hand, stepping in closer.]
I came because you deserve a real choice. Please. Let me save you too.

she doesn't draw away as he pulls closer, the small amount of space between them vanishing, her fingers lighting against his stomach, crooking into the fabric of his shirt automatically as she looks back and forth between his eyes, measuring what he's saying.
her fingers abruptly ball into a fist as she yanks him the last few inches, her lips seeking his with an immediacy and urgency that doesn't leave much time for interpretation.
it's over before he can get his bearings back, and as she draws away, she says simply: ] You bloody idiot.

His hand reaches up to touch his lips, blinking slightly. For all that this is, he supposes, a big, dramatic gesture, he didn't really expect that.]
Dumage...
[Please let that be a yes, not a goodbye.]

[He can't resist. I rolled a 5. He had to say it.]
He didn't give details. Just said he'd get us out, no matter the cost.
[He walks over to the window and peers out (spot 31), as if it might give him a clue to where their rescue might come from. He's pretty sure he'd survive jumping out, if it came to it, but he'd probably be in bad enough shape that the bad guys would be able to finish him off pretty fast, and Dumage isn't half as durable. That is probably not the plan.]

[ she keeps ranting behind him, but spike becomes fixated on a point in the distance that looks at first like a plane. except that it seems to be... heading straight towards the window, and growing larger.
and larger.
... wait a second. planes don't flap their gigantic wings. ]

[He's going to take a few steps back.]
I think our ride might be here.
[Either that or they're in a whole lot of new trouble. But he's hoping for ride.]

dumage stops in her tracks, and looks out the window as the thing gets closer - and the silver frills of a large reptilian head come into focus rapidly approaching. her mouth drops open, as she realizes at least that it's not stopping, and reaches out to grip spike's wrist. ]
MOVE! [ she yanks him towards the door, bursting it open and dragging him into the hall just as the dragon's massive head comes crashing through every window on the side of the building with a deafening shattering sound. reflex saves bc she sure... crit failed and tripped on the doorstep... ]

draken is left staring aghast down the throat of a dragon several meters away. the dragon's mouth opens and a cloud of silver gas begins to gather between its copious fangs. dumage grips spike by the shoulders and pulls him into the next door down the hall, squeezing their bodies into the narrow space as the dragon unleashes a cone of gas down the length of it. ]

[He grabs her hand and starts pulling her down the hallway. However they're faring, they're probably plenty distracted at least. Seems like a good time for an escape attempt.]

I imagine the others weren't so inclined to think the best of my intentions. I hardly expect a warm welcome.
