[ After a successful mission, in which the team found the source of a mysterious illness created voracious pseudo-zombies and stopped the plague from spreading further, they brought the Idol that caused all the chaos back to their hotel. Having been forced to abandon their amazing Thanksgiving dinner of Chinese takeout (really Sam wtf salad), they took turns passing the Idol around and stuffing food into its ever-hungry maw, to fulfill the terms that will allow the curse to be finally broken... after 12 hours of feeding.

Luckily, having a near-infinite supply of food is no problem when Fiona can summon food and drink. And she... also summons a tray of pot brownies that everyone partakes in, whether they realized it or not.

He also picked this moment to roll a 19 on his wisdom check after that little exchange. He's suddenly...really uncomfortable with where this might be going.]

there's no grand theatrics, or explosions of glitter at faith's words. instead, sam's answer comes in the form of the slowly growing thumping of music coming from right outside their hotel room door.

fiona turns toward him, frowning as he pulls his pants back up. she holds up one of her arms, bringing attention to the silver bands, easily mistaken for bracelets or bangles, adorning her wrist. ] Uh, 'cause it's easier than trying to find a decent karaoke bar in New York City.

Besides, this one's catered to you guys. [ she turns back to will, offering him a hand up (and a personal view of her wrist bands for his own eyes). that's right, will, let's go see what a karaoke bar catered to will graham would look like. ]

as sam opens the door, peering into the hall-turned-club, smoke rolls into their room at his feet (because what's a party without a fog machine, right?), drawing more attention that way. fiona turn, grinning, and is no longer so much asking for permission, as grabbing will's hand and attempting to yank him back up from the chair she just shoved him into. shhh. just come closer bb. also, he might not want to be sitting there while this all goes down...

the fog quickly begins to envelop the room (like, seriously, within a second or two), and any furniture or food still visible appears to shimmer, the colors and shapes languidly contorting. sort of like watching a lava lamp. during an acid trip. but lo' and behold! as the smoke settles, their hotel room has now been transformed into A KARAOKE BAR!! and where there was previously a table full of food and surrounded by chairs, there is now a bar lined with bar stools and neon lights. the food's still there (as well as bruce), laid out along the bar, and there's liquor galore behind the counter, but it's who's tending the bar that might draw the most attention. i believe he was special ordered?? ]

[ one minute dean's in bed on the phone with rose

and the next he's pouring drinks behind the counter at this dramatic karaoke bar, still dressed in his boxers, but with the addition of a snappy bow tie thanks to fiona.

for a moment, he just... keeps pouring, because it seems like the thing to do???? werwatey????? he's too busy trying to wrap his head around why he's naked and how he got here and what rose just told him to even notice them walk in tbh ]
