kat's finally got the police hq blueprints on lock and tapped into all the security protocols, so it should be a simple in and out tonight. of course, they are breaking into a police station of all places, but kat's confident they've got this shit on lock.



buuuut then there's that whole thing where she slams the trunk closed on all their weapons and gear, dressed head to toe in black like the other two, only to find Jaka standing on the opposite side of their car, one eyebrow raised behind the sunglasses he's sporting even at night. he smirks and says: ]

[Spike might argue more but Buffy is the boss of him. He crosses his arms and looks grumpy about it, but he nods sharply, not taking his eyes off Jaka.]

Fine. But I don't like it. [He's REALLY SKETCHY. And this is coming from a vampire.]

Good. That keeps us even. [ and he slides into the front passenger seat :') since i assume spike is driving again. kat rolls her eyes and hops in the back. ]

[ everyone just assumes spike will drive, but buffy definitely looks like she just got stomped all over when jaka steals shotgun. what a dick. she stands for a moment, startled, then moves to climb into the seat behind him. ]

[Yeah Spike is kind of pissed about it too. This is becoming rapidly less datelike. He slides into the driver's seat and shoots Buffy an unhappy glance in the mirror, but doesn't fuss about it. Asshole.

At least his anger doesn't affect his driving. Nat 20 drive check.]

I cooked up some potions, by the way, seeing as how Myri wasn't coming and near-death experiences tend to follow you around like a lost puppy. [ kat pulls out a couple vials of blue liquid and hands them up between the seats, before thinking twice about giving one to spike, and handing both to buffy ] Oh right, 'cept they'd probably... just kill Spike. [ so chipper :) ]

Let's all hope the police aren't advocating murder for break-ins, then. And that no one has sent giant spiders to infiltrate the station ahead of us.

[bigbad]

[Spike reaches into his pocket and pulls out a flask, waving it at the ladies behind him.] I'll be all right.

They'll never have cause to even suspect our presence. [ there's an unspoken 'if y'all don't fuck it up' ] And if they do, leave it to me.

And what exactly is your back-up plan if they do spot you?

Nothing we need to worry about, seeing as how I expect things will proceed smoothly.

It's probably in an evidence lock-up, right? Those don't usually have windows. We'll have to find a way to borrow someone's clearance. [ by borrow she means mug a police officer yes. ]

And if anything goes wrong? Me and the Slayer here'll beat everyone up in sight while Kat fails to hit anything with her gun.

[ kat smacks spike upside the back of his head for that one. she don't curr if he's driving or not. ] You mean after Plan STFU Spike?

[WOW she's lucky his nat 20 driving check means he could be driving with his feet right now and still be flawless at it.]

Fine, we can depend on our lawyer's plan that he still hasn't shared. [He shoots a glare at Jaka. Yeah. He didn't forget about you.]

[ buffy gives the ... back of jaka's head a quietly expectant look because yep she's waiting on that now. ]

I've told you I know precisely where to go once we're inside. I imagine you've got cameras covered - but it's never a poor idea to be invisible to the eyes of any onlookers off-screen as well, at least as we enter.
