[ The Chicago O'Hare Airport is bustling as usual when Myri arrives. They haven't often had to use completely public transportation but since she's going on her own, it'd be silly to fly privately. However, that means Amaranth is going to have to fly cooped up... ]

[She can't move, but the color can certainly drain from her already pale features. Andres Isle. Everything Sirs Bancroft and Chessing had told them of the place makes her believe once more that she may not make it out of this alive.]

[bonquas]

Oh good. You're familiar. [ she crosses one leg over the other casually ] I think you've also seen some of Dimitris' experiments up close and personal.

If you're lucky, you might just get the chance to get even more so.

What... [She forces the word out slowly] will you do... [The strain is almost too much, but fear will push her further.] With me?

Your little team put quite a cramp in his off site work. But he's close to a breakthrough in just how to control you people.

[You people. Shadowkind? It had to be. This church of theirs hated all shadowkind, after all.]

[All she can do is gulp. She has no idea what that means and she isn't sure she wants to...]

[ most of the flight passes in silence, for hours as they cross the ocean, heading so close to england and yet so far. finally an expanse of green appears on the horizon: the tiny island nation of andres isle. ]

[witchwoman]

[What she can catch of the view out of the corner of her eye terrifies her. Myri has no idea what she's getting herself into. She wasn't there to see the experiments that some of the others found. Would it be like that? What they told her of it made her stomach turn. But what if this was worse? Her breathing grows shallow, more frequent. She's starting to panic.]

Please...

[bonquas]

Pleading isn't going to help you much, young lady. [ she pulls out her cell phone, swiping in a number and pulling it up to her ear ] ... It's me. ... We're in range of the island, yes. The package is secure, yes. ... I thought you might require my-- ... Yes, I understand that.

[ she makes a frustrated sort of face ] Very well. But don't think you're going to cut me out of this. This was my idea. Crombe needs to know that.

[witchwoman]

[Crombe? Has Myri ever heard of a Crombe? She's trying to think back for all the names and faces she's encountered through all of this. It's all she can do to keep her mind occupied so she can calm down slightly and keep herself from crying.]

[bonquas]

Right. [ she hangs up with a click, and blows a strand of hair out of her face in annoyance, before pointing out a small airstrip fenced off behind a sprawling, beautiful castle nestled amid the trees. ] There.

[witchwoman]

[Somehow, seeing a structure of destination makes Myri realizes just how dire the situation is. She struggles against the hold on her, trying desperately to gain some control of her body (likely in vain but she is trying!!)]

[ the plane lands, and the guard drags myri off as kitty gets out the front. waiting for them, flanked by multiple bodyguards, including asha, who stands a few steps behind him, is dimitris sarandis himself. he eyes myri disdainfully as she's brought off, although he looks smug. ] Well, well. You actually did it.

I'll admit I wasn't sure I'd believe it until I saw it with my own two eyes.

[witchwoman]

[Myri makes a strangled sort of noise of discomfort as she's manhandled off the plane. She does her best to hide the fear from her eyes when she is brought before Sarandis, and to sound confident in the few words she manages to work out (bluff 18).]

They'll.... find me.

[usurping]

[ he strides right over to her, reaching a hand up to grip her chin tightly and yank her face upwards towards him. ] Ah, well, that would be rather unfortunate for them, even if it were true. [ his eyes search hers, and it's impossible to miss the disgust there, the air of superiority. he releases her as he adds very matter-of-factly: ] Because if any of them set foot here, I'll have them killed.

[witchwoman]

[Her eyes close, refusing to look at him. She can't hold a mask of bravery up for long. She's absolutely terrified to be here, to be alone. The doppleganger had fooled her so easily, pretending to be Finnick. Who was to say that it wouldn't act exactly like her to keep the rest of them from knowing? But despite it all, she won't let him know just how much she fears him. She refuses to let him see her cry (will save nat 20).]

[usurping]

[ this seems to kind of piss dimitris off, and he scowls a bit ] You're very brave, aren't you?

We'll see how long that lasts.

[ he clicks his fingers over her shoulder and a guard comes out carrying amaranth in his little pet carrier. ]

[witchwoman]

[She knows immediately that it's her familiar, can sense him before she sees that carrier.]

Don't-!

[The one word is all she can manage. Inside the carrier, the flywacket stirs and looks out at her with his large violet eyes.]

Save your strength. Please. [His voice enters her mind and it's the closest thing to true comfort that she's had since she was pulled into the van at the airport. She takes a shaking breath and tries to calm herself.]

[usurping]

[ he nods to asha, who steps forward, lifting one long razor sharp claw and hovering it between the slats of the carrier, poised to spear. ]

I'm going to make this very, very clear for you, Myrilandel. I'd hate for there to be any misunderstandings between us.

Cooperate, and it will go well for you and your ... [ he wrinkles his nose ] familiar.

Disobey us or make any attempt to escape, and I'll let Asha do what she does so very, very well.

[witchwoman]

[Myri hasn't been this afraid in a very long time, not since before the Veil. This felt so similar to the way she had run from the Blood Mage. Moncriith had called her a demon and sneered just the same at her familiar. He had hated her for what she was, deemed it something that needed to be cleansed. And she had spent so much of her life running, only to be caught by a similar man.

She tries to nod, but can't, so she forces her lips to move, slowly.]

Wonderful. [ his gloating smile seems to indicate a perverse enjoyment in exercising so much power over her, and he nods very slightly at asha. ] Take that thing out of my sight.
